The keynote presenter will be Phyllis Light, a 5th generation herbalist and author of Southern Folk Medicine: Healing Traditions from the Appalachian Fields and Forests.

The Annual Symposium features more than 45 lectures on topics related to the practice of herbalism, as well as pre- and post-symposium seminars. The five-day event offers herbal education for all levels of interest, from beginners to advanced. We welcome herb practitioners, medical professionals, students, and herbal newcomers to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about herbal medicine from some of the top herbalists in the country.

In addition to lectures, the AHG Symposium offers plant walks, panel discussions on cutting edge topics, and a vendor area featuring exhibits by leading companies in the herbal industry, along with herb schools and other related businesses.

Our Symposium theme this year is “Bioregional Herbalism” and a focused track of sessions is offered throughout the weekend on all dimensions of this topic.
