March 18, 2010 — The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) welcomes four returning and one new member to the association’s Board of Trustees and congratulates the officers elected by their peers during the March 11 Board meeting in Anaheim, Calif.

Traditional Medicinal’s Katie Huggins was elected Chair of the AHPA Board of Trustees. Garry Pay of IdeaSphere was elected Vice Chair. Wilson Lau of Nuherbs will serve as Secretary, and Vitality Works’ Mitch Coven will continue as Treasurer.

Joining in the vote for the election of officers were new Board member Garry Pay (IdeaSphere) and returning members Travis Borchardt (Schwabe North America); Betsy Fallon (Martin Bauer Group); Edward Fletcher (Strategic Sourcing); and Matt Redd (A.M. Todd).

“As the elected representatives of the members of AHPA, the Board is tasked with guiding the association as it develops creative solutions to issues, takes proactive action on behalf of industry, and ensures the continued strength of the organization.” said AHPA President Michael McGuffin. "I continue to be impressed by the depth and diversity of AHPA’s Board of Trustees, as well as its expertise and experience, and I look forward to working with this outstanding group of individuals in the coming year.”
